Elevator Pitch #1

Air Conditioning APP

Testing the Hypothesis - Part 2

Who: People who fall outside of the boundary are big businesses such as grocery stores, malls, etc., because with so many people going in and out of stores there wouldn’t be a realistic way to average out the temperature based on employees working there. You can’t have the employees inside determining the “perfect” temperature because customers will be coming from outside which can be hot or cold depending on the year and the employees are inside the whole time so they are not exposed to temperature changes. A “comfortable” temperature for an employee working could be drastically different from a customer. What: The desire to want to feel comfortable in your home because of the temperature differs from the desire to use that money elsewhere, such as a new stove to cook. It differs when a person has to figure out where to use their money. Why: They have similar needs of wanting to be a comfortable temperature but the opportunity is not the same for an apartment or...

Solving The Problem

My opportunity is people being too hot or cold in their homes and needing to find a way to regulate the temperature better. I actually ended up touching on this along with my opportunity hypothesis with my interviewees which was very interesting! My idea is to create an app that can be downloaded to a fit bit or other smart watch that can monitor a persons’ body temperature. By monitoring the temperature of the person wearing the watch, then the air conditioning can adjust accordingly to make sure they are always comfortable. There would also be able to create settings for when you aren’t home and maybe want to keep it a warmer to save money on electric, etc. There will also be an air conditioning service sold so that customers can buy the air conditioning system to link with their app. The app will also be compatible to air conditioning systems that are already able to connect with an app. The app wouldn’t need to be expensive – just about $9.99 – but the customer...

Testing the Hypothesis Part 1

1.     I have decided to pursue my opportunity of the issue with your house never being the right temperature. My idea is to have an app that can run through a fitbit, apple watch or other smart watches. 2.     The average person wants their homes’ temperature to make them feel comfortable so that they don’t have to constantly be dealing with using blankets and not using blankets or jackets, etc.   The who: The average person The what: People wanting their homes temperature to adjust based on their body temperature. The why: It can be frustrating when your house is too hot or too cold and you’re constantly switching between blankets and no blankets. 3.     Although everyone may not have the same need, I believe that if there is one person who has this need then there are definitely others. The biggest boundaries of this need would be figuring out the logistics of an air conditioning system that can also connect to your...
