Elevator Pitch #3

https://vimeo.com/299951348 Reflection Surprisingly I did not receive negative feedback on my second elevator pitch to make improvements on my third one. I tried to include a lot of similar aspects in this pitch since students seemed to have responded well to it last time. A big compliment was adding in the price points and visually seeing where my customers are sitting that makes them need this product. I wanted to keep those details in order to make the elevator pitch as strong as possible.

Reading Reflection #2

How to Fail at Almost Everything & Still Win Big 1)    What was the general theme or argument of the book? The general theme of this book is to figure out how to best take care of yourself in order to continue pushing forward when you fail so that it ultimately leads to your success. When you take care of yourself physically by working out and eating healthy, as well as, taking care of yourself mentally by keeping stress levels low, you will be able to handle failures better and keep working towards your success. 2)    How did the book, in your opinion, connect with and enhance what you are learning in ENT 3003? I think that this book connects with what we have been learning in class because as an entrepreneur there are going to be times where a business fails, or you need to totally change your business idea, etc., and this book helps teach how to best move on from those situations and work towards success. 3)    If you had to de...

Growing Social Capital

1. I spoke to John who has a background in installations. For this project he is a domain expert since he knows a lot about how I can effectively get my product into the homes of customers. I found this person through my parents because he does a lot of work on our home including remodeling as well as appliance installations. During our exchange I told him about the product and asked him his opinion on it. He said he liked the idea and told me how it is simple to install new thermostats into a home. There was no return expected. Including John in my network will help to enhance my opportunity because if I ever had any concerns about how my air conditioning system needs to be installed I could easily ask him for advice. 2. I met Ian through my internship when we were having work done in our office. His background is helping to manage the office of Morris Highman. He is experienced in working with other products similar to mine since his business gets a lot of inqu...

Idea Napkin #2

1)  You.  I am a 21-year-old creative thinker who is always looking for the next big thing to solve people’s problems. I am a persistent person who doesn’t typically take no for an answer. Some of my skills involve strategically planning and executing ideas. I have great leadership skills which helps to get more done effectively. 2)  What are you offering to customers?  I am offering an app that connects to your air conditioning system and smart watch to adjust your air temperature based on your body temperature. The app will allow you to average out temperatures between multiple people in your home or just use your own. When you leave your home you can pick the temperature you would like it to stay on and then when you get back it will readjust to your temperature. 3)  Who are you offering it to?  I am targeting customers in their mid-twenties who have stable jobs but are also still new in the job world and don’t mind spending money ...
